Children's Rights (CRnotopen)

[This course will take you about 1hr 15 mins to complete.]

Children, though under the protection of their parents, carers or, in the case of looked after children, the local authority, have their own individual human rights. It is necessary that society provide basic human rights to children, as well as certain restrictions that act to protect them as they develop into full members of society. There are also certain rights that apply specifically to children in care that foster carers must be aware of. These rights and laws are designed for children to not only survive but thrive.

In this course, you will learn:
- The rights of the child.
- The rights of children in care.
- Reasons for and ways to make a complaint.
- What an advocate is and how they can help.
