Alcohol and Children in Care (ALCnotopen)

Description
[This course will take you approx. 45 min to complete]

Children and young people are curious about alcohol. This is normal. A child in your care may already have experience with alcohol or hang out with friends who drink. However, as a foster carer, directly giving alcohol to a foster child could get you into a lot of trouble.

In this course, you will learn:
- How common it is for children and young people to consume alcohol
- How to talk to children and young people about alcohol
- About legislation on alcohol
- About the risks of alcohol consumption and dependency
- What you can do to support a child with alcohol addiction.
