Children with Anxiety (ANXnotopen)

Description
[This course will take you about 1h 15 mins to complete.]

Just like adults, children can feel worried and anxious about things sometimes. Anxiety is when a person experiences panic or fear and is often connected with something that is about to happen or they think may happen in the future. This is something we all have to cope with at different points in our lives and is a very normal feeling. The problem is when these feelings of anxiety start to become more severe, regular and are negatively affecting the child’s everyday life. If you notice this happening with your foster child, you will need to seek further help for them.

In this course, you will learn:
- What anxiety is.
- How common anxiety is.
- The symptoms of anxiety.
- Types of anxiety.
- What causes anxiety and who is more at risk.
- How anxiety is diagnosed.
- Treatment for anxiety.
- How to support a child living with anxiety.
