[This course will take you about 1hour 50mins to complete.] All children and young people will experience strong emotions, including anger. It is natural for everyone to experience anger from time to time, but it can become a problem when it leads to behaviour that is harmful or unhelpful, negatively affecting the child and/or other people. Some children and young people may not have the tools to process the emotion of anger in a healthy way. This can be stressful for them and for you as their foster carer. In this course, we look at: - What anger is and possible causes - The escalation of anger - Building emotional regulation and de-escalation techniques - How to support young children, teens, and those with additional needs
